International tax consultancy, organised around you

Start with the area that describes you. Each one looks at your whole position first: where you live, where your income and assets sit, and where your business operates.

01

Residence and moving between countries

For individuals and families moving between countries, or living across more than one.

Where you are tax resident decides where most of your income and gains are taxed. We plan a move so the position in each country holds together, and so you have the evidence to show it.

Planning the move
Timing, where you will be resident, and how each country's rules fit together.
Becoming resident in your new country
Meeting the residence tests, including in the UAE, and keeping the evidence.
Resident in two countries
How a tax treaty decides where you are resident when both countries claim you.
Tax residence certificates
Applying for a UAE certificate so a treaty can be relied on.

Tax returns and tax advice in the country you are leaving, including the UK, are for your adviser there. We work alongside them.

02

International business structures

For founders and owner-managed businesses operating across borders.

Where a company is registered is only part of the story. Where it is managed, and how much real activity it has, decides where it is taxed. We help design groups that hold up in every country involved.

Holding and group structures
Where companies should sit, and how the group fits together.
Where a company is taxed
Management, control and substance, so the company is resident where it is meant to be.
Moving a business or its management
Relocating management and control between countries, with your advisers in each.
The UAE as a location
Free zone or mainland, from a tax point of view, for businesses looking at the UAE.

We advise on structures. Company formation and licensing are handled by your chosen provider.

03

Wealth and family structures

For families and individuals holding significant assets across borders.

The tax side of holding family wealth across borders: how a structure is taxed in each country involved, and how it is reported under the rules that now apply in most financial centres. Well-planned structures can also bring benefits in asset protection, privacy and succession.

Companies, trusts and foundations
How each is taxed and reported, depending on where the family lives.
Reporting within the rules
What the Common Reporting Standard reports about your structure, and to which countries.
Reviewing existing structures
Checking the tax and reporting position of structures set up years ago against today's rules.

We advise on the tax side. Wills, succession law and trustee services are for your lawyers and trustees; we work alongside them.

04

Reporting and transparency

For anyone with accounts, companies or trusts in more than one country.

Banks and other financial institutions now report accounts to tax authorities across borders. We explain what is reported about you and your structures, and where it goes.

CRS classification
How a company, trust or foundation is classified, and who is reported as its controlling person.
Self-certifications
Getting residence and classification right on bank and custodian forms.
Older structures
Structures that relied on privacy that no longer exists, and putting them in order.

Support services

For clients' UAE companies: corporate tax registration and returns, VAT returns, and accounting and bookkeeping for the companies and structures we advise on.

Fees

Every piece of work is quoted individually and fixed in writing before we start. Government fees are charged at cost.

What we don't do

We don't advise on UK, US or Canadian tax, form or sell companies, trusts or foundations, act as trustee, give legal advice or regulated investment advice. Where you need these, we work alongside the advisers who do.

General information only, as at October 2026, and not advice. The position depends on your full facts and on the law of each country involved.
